For those who follow me on Twitter, you probably already know bits and pieces about my nonprofit that I’ve mentioned here and there. But for the most part, I’ve been pretty mum about the whole thing. It has taken me a long time to grow this idea but I’m making incredible progress!

Of the things I’m working on are the business plan, the logo, and slowly the website. The logo is nearing completion and likely to be finished this month before the holidays. Expect to see it any day now… I created a rough draft of the logo and engaged a great friend of mine who I have worked with many times before on web design. He has the branding expertise that I need to make sure this logo is what I envisioned. So far it is not disappointing and I imagine it will have a long shelf life.

The business plan for the nonprofit is coming along nicely as well. This part of the formation is what will take me the most time before the website starts to come along. In the business plan I am covering the why’s, who’s, what’s, inspiration, and every other aspect of my nonprofit idea I can fathom. I want to make sure this plan is bulletproof (obviously).

The final part of the process will be the website. Once I complete the logo, I will launch a simple one-page website that will give some ‘introductory’ information and an email sign-up for users to be notified when the site goes live. I expect to have this one-pager up sometime in January, perhaps after the holidays.

If you aren’t following me on Twitter yet or know what Twitter is, I highly encourage you to join and see what all the buzz is about. I’ll be the first to admit, it’s not for everyone but it all depends how you use it. Personally, I follow Guy Kawasaki’s advice and use Twitter as a tool and it has paid off enormously by connecting me to a huge wealth of like-minded people. I expect to use Twitter well into the future.

Stay tuned for more excellent news!
