[This is part of a series of posts that will extend through the entire year of 2009 twice monthly according to my original post "My pledge to Kiva for 2009". To view all of my Kiva projects, take a moment to check out my Kiva lending page.]

In this week’s Kiva Pledge Update I am supporting Sylvia Mbabazi in Uganda, a businesswoman who deals in stationary and computer services in Kibuli, Uganda.

According to her Kiva business page:

Mbabazi Sylvia is a businesswoman. She is 36-years old and single. She deals in stationery items and she also renders computer services and photocopying. She has been in her business for over 10 years. She is using the loan to purchase stationery items such as reams of paper, charts, pens and pencils, ink, manila papers etc. Her future dream is to build rental houses.

Stay tuned for the next Kiva Pledge Update on May 24th.
